Author Guidelines

The Journal of Health Risk and Chronic Disease (JHRCD) welcomes original and high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in health risk assessment, chronic diseases, public health, epidemiology, occupational health, environmental health, nutrition, health promotion, and related fields.

Types of Manuscripts

  • Original Research Articles

  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

  • Policy and Practice Papers

General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English.
  • The manuscript must be original and not previously published or under consideration by another journal.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all data presented.
  • All submissions will undergo plagiarism screening prior to peer review.
  • The journal follows a double-blind peer review process.

Manuscript Structure

Authors should prepare their manuscripts using the following structure:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) Information and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract (200–250 words)
  4. Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  5. Introduction
  6. Materials and Methods
  7. Results
  8. Discussion
  9. Conclusion
  10. Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  11. Conflict of Interest Statement
  12. References

Formatting Requirements

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
  • Paper size: A4.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.5.
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
  • Pages should be numbered consecutively.
  • Tables and figures should be embedded within the text and numbered sequentially.

References

References should be prepared using the latest edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) Style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

Ethical Considerations

  • Research involving human participants must include approval from an appropriate ethics committee.
  • Informed consent must be obtained when applicable.
  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Any source of funding should be clearly stated.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system. Authors are required to register as users before submitting manuscripts. All correspondence regarding the manuscript will be conducted through the journal management system.

Important Notes

  • Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors prior to review.
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial changes that do not alter the scientific content of the manuscript.
  • Acceptance of a manuscript is based on scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
