Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Journal of Health Risk and Chronic Disease (JHRCD) is committed to providing an affordable and transparent publication process while maintaining high standards of editorial quality, peer review, and scientific integrity.

There is no fee for manuscript submission and no fee for the peer-review process. Authors are only required to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC) after their manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

The APC contributes to the operational costs of the journal, including editorial management, peer-review administration, copyediting, layout editing, website maintenance, digital archiving, DOI registration, and article publication.

Fee Structure

Payment Policy

Payment of the APC is required only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Authors will receive a notification from the Editorial Office containing payment instructions following the final acceptance decision.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Waiver and Discount Policy

Requests for APC waivers or discounts may be considered on a case-by-case basis for authors who demonstrate financial hardship or are affiliated with institutions from low-resource settings. Decisions regarding waivers and discounts are made at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher.

Open Access Commitment

All articles published in JHRCD are freely accessible online immediately upon publication. Readers may access, read, download, and share published articles without subscription or access fees.
